Three LI High Schools Ranked By United Soccer Coaches

Three Long Island high school soccer teams are nationally ranked this week by United Soccer Coaches, with Brentwood’s boys’ team making a big move in this week’s poll.

This week’s boys’ Top-25 poll includes Brentwood (12-0-0) now sitting at No. 3, skyrocketing 14 spots from the previous week’s poll. In addition, Amityville (13-0-0) holds steady at No. 13.

During the past week, Brentwood defeated Sachem East 2-0 and Patchogue-Medford 4-1. Amityville went 3-0 this past week with wins over Westhampton 3-2, John Glenn 3-1 and Bayport-Blue Point 9-0.

This week’s girls poll includes only one team from Long Island, Smithtown West (9-0-1), which moves up six spots to No. 11. This past week included wins over Northport 5-0 and North Babylon 2-0.
