The in-season accolades for St. John’s goalkeeper Diana Poulin continue to roll in.
This week, the Hauppauge-native was named Big East Goalkeeper of the Week after Poulin made nine saves in the Red Storm’s 1-0 win over DePaul. Coming into the match the Blue Demons were 5-0 in conference play and were averaging 3.40 goals per game.
The shutout was Poulin’s 10th of the season that matched a St. John’s single-season standard and also placed her No. 3 among NCAA leaders in 2016. The shutout was Poulin’s 30th of her career, seventh most among active NCAA leaders.
Recently, Poulin was also named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Midseason Top-100 List, coming in at No. 60.
In addition to Poulin’s weekly honor from the Big East, her teammate Samie Scaffidi was named to the conference’s weekly Honor Roll. She scored the game winner against previously undefeated DePaul on Saturday.
