For head coach Danny Longo, the 2019 season provides an opportunity for him and the Molloy College men’s soccer team to wipe away a tough 2018 campaign.

The Lions open the season on September 5 on the road against East Stroudsburg University. Expectations from those outside the Rockville Centre-based college are low as Molloy was ranked seventh out of nine teams in the East Coast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.

Longo, however, is confident heading into the new season and offers his perspective on the team in the video below.

Players To Watch

Offense: senior Paul Morales, senior Anthony Cestaro of Massapequa and junior Oscar Magnusson return for the Lions. In addition, junior Kenneth Garcia joins the Lions after scoring 16 goals at St. Joseph’s Brooklyn in 2018.

Defensive: Among the key members returning for Molloy are Matt Miller of Oceanside, Bryan Argueta of Brentwood and Dennis Mejia of Oyster Bay.
