SUNY Old Westbury men’s soccer freshman forward Chris Agbodoh was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week, while junior forward Dominick Guidice was tabbed to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll for games played October 17-23.
In Old Westbury’s 2-0-0 week, Agbodoh registered six points on three goals. In the Panthers 3-1 home win against Farmingdale State (Oct. 18), Agbodoh found the back of the net for his fifth and sixth goals in the 35th and 75th minutes. He followed with netting his seventh goal of the season in the 89th minute in the team’s 4-1 win over Sarah Lawrence (Oct. 22).
The Far Rockaway native has scored six goals during a five-game stretch. Agbodoh currently ranks among the conference leaders in goals (T-5th, 7) and goals per game (8th, .412).
In two games last week, Guidice registered five points on two goals and one assist. He opened the week by assisting on the game-winning goal in the 55th minute against Farmingdale State. Guidice followed with his eighth-career game-winning goal in the sixth minute, and later added a goal in the 79th minute versus Sarah Lawrence to set a career high of 29 points and 13 goals on the season.
The Hicksville native currently ranks among the conference leaders in points (2nd, 29), points per game (3rd, 1.93), goals (2nd, 13), goals per game (2nd, .867), game-winning goals (2nd-4), shots (6th, 56) and shots per game (6th, 3.73).
