Lahoud, 29, joined the New York Cosmos on loan from the Union in January 2016. He logged seven starts with New York during the NASL Spring Season.
“We have been informed that the Philadelphia Union have sold the contract rights to Michael Lahoud to Miami FC,” said Erik Stover, Cosmos Chief Operating Officer. “Michael was on loan to us for the 2016 season, but his rights always remained with Philadelphia. We are sorry to see him go. He was a great player and teammate for our club. We wish him best of luck on his new venture.”
“We have a lot of depth on this team and we expect the other players to step up,” said Giovanni Savarese, New York Cosmos Head Coach and Sporting Director. “The competition for starting positions in the central midfield will continue to be strong.”
