The St. John’s women’s soccer team overcame a two-goal deficit on Thursday and defeated Villanova 4-3 in extra time.

Redshirt junior Zsani Kajan had a hat-trick that included the game-winner 25 seconds into the first session of extra-time. Samantha Masur scored the other goal for St. John’s.

The Budapest, Hungary, native is only the second player in program history to record multiple three-goal outings during her career. She joins former St. John’s standout Rachel Daly who registered a hat-trick of hat-tricks over her Red Storm career.

The Red Storm has just two regular-season games remaining. They welcome Creighton for a Sunday matinee before closing out the campaign with a contest at No. 14 Georgetown on Oct. 31 at 2 p.m.
