The Hofstra women’s soccer team will begin their NCAA Tournament adventure in Alabama as the Pride will meet Auburn on Friday.

Set for a 6 p.m. (EST) kickoff at Auburn Soccer Complex, the match will be the first meeting between Hofstra and the Tigers.

Hofstra (15-3-2, 9-0-0 CAA) earned an automatic bid to the Tournament after defeating Northeastern 2-1 to win the Colonial Athletic Association championship. The Pride is currently on a 12 game winning streak and is unbeaten in 14 games. This is Hofstra’s sixth NCAA appearance in program history and second over the past three seasons.

Auburn enters the tournament with a 7-6-5 record (4-2-4 SEC) and is one of nine SEC teams to secure an NCAA Tournament bid. The Tigers lost 1-0 to Florida in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals.

The winner of the Hofstra/Auburn match will face the winner of the Stanford/Utah Valley match.
