In announcing the roster for Manchester United on the team’s website, Casey Stoney, the team’s head coach, said of Galton, “Left footers are rare and good ones ever more so. Having Leah gives us really good balance and the opportunity to attack quickly both sides. (She’s) extremely hard working and driven to make Manchester United to the next level.”
In four years at Hofstra, Galton appeared in 82 games scoring 46 goals and adding 26 assists. Among the many accolades earned during her time with the Pride, she was named an NSCAA Second Team All-American and won three consecutive Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Year Awards. In addition, Galton was also a four-time NSCAA All-Mid Atlantic First Team selection and in 2012 was the CAA Rookie of the Year.
