East Islip’s Saager Featured In Binghamton Season Preview

Kayla Saager is about to embark on her senior year at Binghamton University, and she and her Bearcats teammates are looking to build off 2017 when the team produced one of the best seasons in the school’s 17-year Division I history.

The 2017 America East Conference Striker of the Year, Saager — an East Islip native — had 11 goals and 7 assists during her junior season, her first with Binghamton after transferring from West Virginia. Now, the team is not only looking to repeat as conference champions but has its sights set on something larger — qualifying for the NCAA Tournament.

As the Bearcats prepared for the upcoming season, Saager was featured in a season preview-piece aired by WBNG in Binghamton.
