St. John’s redshirt freshman Zsani Kajan is slated to make another international appearance for her native Hungary, earning the call up for a pair of World Cup qualifiers next month.
Kajan and Hungarian side will first take on Sweden in Szombathely on April 5 before traveling to Zadar, Croatia, for a match with the Croatian national team on April 9.
Kajan also suited up for the national team in their last qualifying match on November 24, earning the start and playing 76 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Ukraine.
The Budapest native has a long history with the Hungarian senior national team, earning her first cap as a 16-year-old in 2013. In that initial appearance, Kajan scored a goal and registered three assists during World Cup qualifying.
After missing the entirety of her freshman season in 2016 due to injury, Kajan had a solid debut campaign for the Johnnies in 2017, finishing tied for second on the team with a pair of goals, one of which was a game-winner at Villanova.
