Over the final third of the season, Lucy Porter has been one of Hofstra’s offensive stars scoring six goals over her past seven games.

Now, following the Pride’s win over No. 22 Boston College in the First Round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Tournament, Porter has been named Top Drawer Soccer’s Player of the Week.

In Hofstra’s win over the Eagles on the road in Newton, MA, Porter scored the game’s first goal in the 25th minute. She would later assist on a goal by Sabrina Bryan that gave the Pride a 3-0 lead. The 4-1 win over Boston College moved the Pride into the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. They will face Wisconsin on Friday.

During the Pride’s postseason run, the sophomore from Birmingham, England, has a goal in three consecutive matches as the blue and gold won its second straight Colonial Athletic Association title.

Through 22 games, Porter has 11 goals and four assists and has started every match. She has also played 1,997 minutes this season.
