Report: Restrepo Leaving Cosmos For Philadelphia Union

Web-RestrepoWater Restrepo may be trading in the green and white of the New York Cosmos for the blue and gold of the Philadelphia Union.

A recent report from Philly.com said that the Union are looking to bring Restrepo to Major League Soccer. The 27-year old joined the NASL Champion Cosmos on January 19 of last year. He previously played three seasons with Ft. Lauderdale Strikers, and in 2012 was named to the NASL Best XI.

An Union official told MLSSoccer.com that the team of actively pursuing various options to improve the team, but decline to discuss any specific player the team may be pursuing.

In 29 appearances (24 starts) for New York this past season, Restrepo scored 3 goals and had 5 assists.
