Hofstra’s men’s soccer team placed seven players on All-Colonial Athletic Association teams following the 2019 season led by junior Matthew Vowinkel who was named First Team All-Conference.

The New Hyde Park native leads the Pride with 12 goals and 26 points. He closed out the regular season on a goal-scoring streak finding the back of the net eight times in the final four games. This included hat-tricks vs. Delaware on October 26 and Northeastern on November 2.

Also honored by the CAA were co-captains George O’Malley and Luca Tausch along with Petter Soelberg who were named to the All-Conference Second Team, and Oscar Ramsay, Alex Ashton and Frederik Rieper who were named to the All-Conference Third Team. Rieper was also named to the league’s all-rookie team.

Hofstra (9-6-2, 5-2-1 CAA) is seeded No. 3 third seed in the 2019 CAA Championship. The Pride will meet No. 6 Delaware on Friday at 1 p.m. at Sentara Park in Harrisonburg, Va.
