Murphy then got on the other side of the stat sheet in the 31stt minute, hitting a through-ball into the center of the penalty area. The beneficiary of the distribution was forward Megan O’Connor, who quickly collected the feed and struck it into the back of the net to make it a 2-0 affair.

NY Surf extended its lead to 3-0 in the 63rd minute. On that scoring sequence, defender Totianya Guadalupe chipped a ball towards the far post, which was then deflected to the feet of midfielder Maegen Doyle. Wasting no time, Doyle quickly fired the ball home for her second goal of the season.

The final two scores in this match-up were provided by Velaj, raising her season total to four tallies. Her first goal came in the 66th minute, as midfielder Talani Barnett delivered a well-timed feed that played Velaj into a 1v1 situation with Bonham. Before allowing the Magic netminder any time to collapse on her, the Albania international quickly pinged a ball past Bonham giving Surf a 4-0 lead.

In the 87th minute, Velaj struck once again. On the play, she found herself in the perfect position to collect a rebound in the final third, calmly slotting a ball under Bonham.
