Three Rough Riders Named To UWS All-East Second Team

Three members of the Long Island Rough Riders United Women’s Soccer team were named to the league’s All-East Second Team.

Receiving post-season honors are forward Grace Hawkins, midfielder Christina Tesoriero and defender Amanda Buck. Hawkins finished the season with four goals, Tesoriero finished the 2019 season with two goals and Buck had a goal and appeared in all 10 regular season matches for Long Island. 

The Rough Riders finished the season in fourth place with a 5-5 record and qualify for the postseason. However, Long Island would fall to East top seed New England Mutiny 3-0.

East Offensive Player of the Year honors when to forward Kate Howard of New England Mutiny. Lancaster Inferno goalkeeper Kelly O’Brien was named the 2019 East Defensive Player of the Year.
