SUSA Quartet Nets WPSL All-Metro Conference Honors

Four members of SUSA FC have been named to the WPSL’s East Region All-Metropolitan Conference Team.

The quartet includes Jenna Blank, Rebecca Raber, Cat Sheppard and Kayla Winicki. Blank, Raber and Sheppard received All-Conference honors for the second consecutive year.

A native of Holbrook and a graduate of Sachem North High School, Blank is currently in her sophomore year at Towson University. Sheppard, a native of Nesconset who graduated from Smithtown West High School, is in her sophomore season at the University of New Hampshire.

Similar to her SUSA teammates, Winicki is a sophomore at Duquesne University. She is a native of Setauket and graduated from Ward Melville High School. Raber is a native of Bayport and currently coaches at SUSA Academy.

The All-Conference awards are the latest in what has been a long list of honors SUSA has received from the WPSL. 

In the league’s 2019 Best of the WPSL awards, SUSA FC’s head coach J.R. Balzarini was named Coach of the Year. Also, SUSA shared Franchise of the Year honors with New York Athletic Club

This was the second year in a row that SUSA received the pair of honors for play in the WPSL’s East Region-Metropolitan Conference.
