Two members of the St. John’s women’s soccer team are eligible for the NWSL College Draft that will take place on January 16.
The league’s list of more than 100 college players includes Zsani Kajan and Madeline McCracken.
A redshirt junior from Budapest, Hungary, Kajan is coming off another strong season in Queens for head coach Ian Stone. For the second consecutive season, she scored 11 goals and received a host of post-season honors. Kajan was named Big East Offensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the United Soccer Coaches Division I All-East Region First Team.
In her first three seasons with the Red Storm, Kajan has appeared in 53 games and has 24 goals and three assists.
A redshirt senior, McCracken played three seasons at St. John’s after transferring from Boston College. She missed the 2018 season because of an injury.
During her time with the Red Storm, the Lynch Station, Va.-native has appeared in 44 games and recorded two assists. During the 2019 season, she started 16 games and played more than 1,400 minutes.
