While several Long Island high school soccer teams have populated the USA Today/National College Soccer Association polls throughout the fall, only St. Anthony’s boys soccer team and Massapequa’s girls soccer team remain in the boys and girls polls respectively.
In the boys Top-25 poll released November 1, St. Anthony’s was ranked at No. 15, up three places from the previous week. On the girls side, Massapequa made a big move, jumping nine spots to No. 5.
Over the past week, St. Anthony’s topped St. John the Baptist 7-0, while Massapequa defeated Uniondale 4-2, Syosset 2-1 and Calhoun 5-1 to win the Class AA Nassau County title.
