The St. Anthony’s girls soccer team is the lone Long Island squad ranked in national polls from United Soccer Coaches.
In the Week 10 girls poll, St. Anthony’s maintained its Top-10 position, sitting at No. 8, up one spot from the previous week. In Region 2, the team is ranked second behind Arlington High School in LaGrangeville, NY. Other Long Island girls high school teams ranked regionally include Northport at No. 5, Islip at No. 7 and East Meadow at No. 8.
Head coach Sue Alber’s squad (12-0-0) is enjoying another strong season and has dominated play in the Catholic League. The team has conceded goals in only four games this season and has not allowed a goal since its September 27 7-1 win over Our Lady of Mercy.
The team will close out its regular season on October 27 vs. St. John The Baptist.
