Sky Blue FC has signed Kaylan Marckese and Sabrina Flores leading up to its weekend match against the Washington Spirit.
Marckese has been offered a supplemental player contract and Flores has been offered a National Team replacement contract for Sky Blue. Both players were a part of the 2019 NWSL Draft class, each chosen in Round 4 of the Draft.
Marckese was the 28th overall draft pick out of the University of Florida. As a Gator, she made 78 appearances, racking up 250 saves and 29 clean sheets. For the past two years, Marckese was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team. She finished her career at Florida setting the goalkeeping record for solo shutouts and complete matches.
The 34th overall pick in the draft, Flores joins Sky Blue FC as a product of the University of Notre Dame. During her four years with the Fighting Irish, she scored five goals and tallied 18 assists in 82 appearances. Flores was a 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup participant for the United States.
