Prior to her collegiate playing days at Butler University, Paige Monaghan played her high school ball in New Jersey at Roxbury High School.
“I am beyond blessed to have been drafted and now signed with Sky Blue FC,” said Monaghan. “I’m absolutely ecstatic for this journey, and I’m ready and looking forward to being the best version of myself for my teammates, coaches, fans and the organization.”
A graduate of Butler University, Monaghan, 22, recorded 22 goals and 19 assists in 80 appearances as a Bulldog. She was named to the 2018 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, college soccer’s most prestigious award. In addition, as a junior, she was named the 2017 Big East Offensive Player of the Year after scoring a team-high 10 goals and recording a team-high six assists.
“Paige is a very talented player that can play both outside back and as an attacking flank player,” said Denise Reddy, Sky Blue’s head coach. “She is very ambitious and has the talent, desires and character to be very successful in the league.”
Monaghan has also received recognition on the national level with four separate call-ups to the U-23 U.S. WNT.
