Report: Man City Eye NYCFC Keeper Saunders

SaundersPremier League side Manchester City may have its eyes trained on New York City FC keeper Josh Saunders.

According to a report in The Sun, The Citizens are bringing in Saunder for a month “to have a look at him.”

Saunders proved to be a solid backbone for NYCFC’s defense during the team’s recently completed expansion season. The Major League Soccer club is owned by Manchester City.

The report did not indicate whether Manchester City is looking to keep Saunders for an extended period. City, which begins December atop the Premier League table, are also without its star keeper Joe Hart, who injured a hamstring.

The Premier League season runs through May while MLS will kick off its season in March.
