St. John’s Zsani Kajan has had some big moments this season for the Red Storm. The latest is her being named to the All-Big East First Team.

In addition, Christina Bellero of Melville and Claudia Cagnina of Lindenhurst were named to the All-Big East Second Team.

In 18 appearances, Kajan has 11 goals and two assists for a team-high 24 points. The redshirt sophomore is tied for the second most goals in the conference and ranks in the top-30 nationally. Her double-digit goal total makes her just the seventh Red Storm player in program history to record 10 or more goals in a season.

Kajan has three multi-goal games this season. She had a hat-trick vs. Stony Brook and two-goal performances vs. Butler and Seton Hall. The three goals vs. the Seawolves was the first hat-trick for St. John’s since Rachel Daly achieved the feat in 2015.

Bellero earns her third career all-league honor. The senior from Melville has scored three goals over the past three games. She has two multi-goal games this season, most recently in a 3-2 overtime win over Villanova.

Cagnina has been a fixture on the pitch this season for St. John’s. Starting all 18 matches, her three assists are third on the team. All three helpers came in a 5-1 win over Stony Brook early in the season. She was also the first St. John’s player to record three assists in a match since 2008.
