Red Bulls 2017 Season Opening Matches Set

New York Red Bulls will kickoff its 2017 Major League Soccer campaign by making its first trip to the Empire State of the South to play in the first match for expansion side Atlanta United FC.

Set for March 5 at 7 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium on the campus of Georgia Tech University, Red Bulls will be Atlanta’s first opponent as the team is officially welcomed to MLS.

New York’s home opener will take place six days later on March 11 when the Colorado Rapids visit Red Bull Arena. Game time is 4 p.m. The following Sunday, March 19, Red Bulls hits the road for a cross-country trek to CenturyLink Field where they will meet MLS Cup Champions Seattle Sounders.

Prior to the MLS regular season, the Red Bulls will face the Vancouver Whitecaps in a home-and-home quarterfinal series in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, beginning with a match at Red Bull Arena on February 22 at 8 p.m. The return leg will be played at Vancouver on Thursday, March 2.

The complete regular season schedule, along with the national television schedules for the U.S. and Canada, will be announced in January.
