With the America East women’s soccer season drawing to a close, two Long Islanders have been nominated for the conference’s Fan Choice Player of the Year.

Stony Brook’s Franki Priore and Binghamton’s Kayla Saager are among the nine nominees seeking votes for the award. Those interested in supporting either Priore, a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and a resident of Merrick, or Saager, an East Islip High School graduate from East Islip, may cast their vote on Facebook.

This season, Priore has started 16 matches for Stony Brook and has been a key reason for the Seawolves strong defensive effort.

At Binghamton, Saager has returned to soccer following a year off after transferring from West Virginia. Through the Bearcats first 17 games, Saager has 11 goals and 6 assists, leading the team to its first playoff appearance in three years.
