Alexa Svensson

SUSA FC will play its second season in the WPSL this spring. The defending Northeast Conference champions enjoyed a strong inaugural campaign finishing 7-1-0. Their season would come to an end after losing 1-0 to the Cleveland Ambassadors in the WPSL East Regional final.

When did you first start playing soccer?
I first started playing soccer in first grade for my town team

What is your greatest memory of your soccer career?
My greatest memory of my soccer career was being able to play in Spain with the Regional Team in high school.

Who had the greatest influence on your playing career and why?
My mom has had the greatest influence on my playing career because she has always supported me and always was willing to give up time to watch me play and drive me to practices, tournaments and games. She also taught me that if I work hard enough I can achieve anything that I put my mind to.

What do you love about playing soccer?
I love playing soccer because when I play nothing else matters except being on the field and playing at that moment. It is also the most beautiful game in the world in my opinion.

Who/What is your favorite player/team?
Wayne Rooney/Manchester United

Do you have aspirations of playing professionally?
I would love to play professionally when I’m done with my college career.

When you’re not playing soccer, you’re doing…?
Working out, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends.
