The New York Red Bulls played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus.

Bradley Wright-Phillips put New York ahead with a goal early in the second half, but Columbus’ Ola Kamara was able to find the back of the net in stoppage time to give the home team a share of the points.

The match was the Red Bulls’ second in four days, and the second of four matches away from Red Bull Arena. New York will face Philadelphia midweek in the U.S. Open Cup, and New York City FC Saturday, July 3.

Bradley Wright-Phillips put the Red Bulls ahead in the 52nd minute, making the second run into open space in the penalty area to get his head on a well-placed cross from Homegrown rookie Alex Muyl.

It was the second assist of the season for Muyl, and also the second for Dax McCarty, who got the secondary helper on the play.

New York was able to maintain the lead and did not allow Columbus a shot on goal in the second half until Kamara was able to get in and finish a cross from Waylon Francis at close range.
