Golazo: Liverpool Stage Amazing Comeback

It was one of the more amazing European football matches you’ll see. Perhaps not for ever. But likely for quite some time.

Down 3-1 to Borussia Dortmund at Anfield, Liverpool scored three times in the final 25 minutes to top their German rivals 4-3 (5-4 on aggregate) and move on to the Europa League semi-finals.

Entering the second leg tied 1-1 with Liverpool holding a slight advantage because of its away goal, Dortmund appeared to take control early with goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang inside the first 10 minutes.

Second half goals from Liverpool’s Divock Origi and Dortmund’s Marco Reus put the match at 3-1 (4-2 on aggregate). Philipe Coutinho would cut that lead to one, and then the unlikeliest of goal scorers — Mamadou Sakho and Dejan Lovren — respectively would tie and put Liverpool in front.

We’ve gathered a host of sounds and images from Liverpool’s Twitter page from what was match for the ages below.
