During her four years at Mercy College, Rebecca Conway was a fixture on the pitch for the Mavericks having appeared in 73 games.
As she closes out her collegiate playing days in Dobbs Ferry, NY, the Lindenhurst native was named a Division II Third-Team All-American by United Soccer Coaches.
Conway takes home All-American honors for the first time after being named First Team All-Region, First Team All-East Coast Conference (ECC) and ECC Defensive Player of the Year.
Following Mercy’s run to the NCAA Division II Final Four in 2017, the Mavericks were just as stingy on the back line in 2018. With Conway leading the charge, the team allowed a conference-low 13 goals and maintained a 0.76 goals-against average.
This season, the Lindenhurst High School graduate scored her first collegiate goal against Southern Connecticut State. She finished the season with three goals and one assist.
Prior to attending Mercy College, Conway played her club ball for the Lindenhurst Lady Flyers. In high school, she was named All-County during her junior and senior seasons.
