
Four Long Island high school soccer teams are ranked nationally in Top-25 polls from United Soccer Coaches for the week of October 1.
On the boys side, Amityville (9-0-0) sits at No. 13, down one spot from the previous week. Brentwood (10-0-0) enters the Top-25 this week at No. 18.
This past week Amityville won twice defeating Sayville 4-0 and Wyandanch 5-1. Brentwood also went 2-0 this past week with wins over Central Islip 4-0 and William Floyd 1-0.
The girls poll this week sees Syosset (6-0-0) making a big move, up 11 spots from No. 23 to No 12. Smithtown West (6-0-1) enters the Top-25 this week at No. 24.
Syosset this past week defeated East Meadow 5-0 and Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 3-0. Smithtown West got 2-0 wins over Sachem North and Walt Whitman.
