The Hofstra women’s soccer team continues to move up the Division I national rankings, garnering 13 votes in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top-25 poll for Week 2 of the fall college season.
Sitting in 34th place nationally, the Pride have won three of its first four games, falling only to defending national champion Penn State (3-1) in the season-opening Penn State Invitational. The team has victories over Buffalo (1-0), Boston University (2-0) and Columbia (1-0).
Jill Mulholland has been the team’s top scorer with three goals and assist and Noriana Radwan has two goals for head coach Simon Riddiough’s team.
Within the Mid-Atlantic Region, the Pride is ranked number two for the second consecutive week behind the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.
On a national basis, the top-5 women’s Division 1 teams are Florida State, Stanford, Virginia, West Virginia and Florida.
