Hofstra’s women’s soccer team came into the 2019 season as the favorites to win the Colonial Athletic Association.

Should Hofstra advance, the conference final would be played in Hempstead on November 9.

In the final match of the regular season against William & Mary, the visitors from Long Island grabbed the lead in the 21st minute. After intercepting a pass near midfield, Lucy Porter connected with Sabrina Bryan who would find the back of the net for her seventh goal of the season.

William & Mary would draw level in the 39th minute through a Hofstra own-goal.

Four minutes into the second half, the Pride would regain the lead for good as Miri Taylor scored her ninth of the season to put Hofstra ahead 2-1.
