Hofstra Men Garner Several CAA Honors

Following a strong regular season in which the Hofstra men’s soccer team captured the Colonial Athletic Association title for the second consecutive season, the postseason accolades for the Pride are rolling in.

Head coach Richard Nuttall was named CAA Coach of the Year. In addition, senior Harri Hawkins was named Defender of the Year and freshman Luke Brown was named Rookie of the Year. This is the first time in school history the Pride have won three major conference awards in the same season, according to the university.

In addition, Hofstra placed three players on the All-CAA First Team, with Hawkins joined by senior Joseph Holland and junior Meshack Eshun Addy. Brown was joined on the second team by junior Danny Elliott and on the All-Rookie Team by freshman Adam Savill. Junior Mani Walcott earned a third-team nod and senior defender Rory Murphy was named to to the All-Academic Team.
