Four Long Island men’s college soccer players were named to the Northeast 10 Honor Roll as part of the league’s weekly honors.
James Thristino, Adelphi (Jr, F – Port Jefferson Station): In a 2-0 week for Adelphi, Thristino had his first multiple-goal game of the season in a 4-1 win at Bentley for a season-high four points.
Raymond Leto, Adelphi (So, GK – Laurel Hollow): Leto went 2-0 in net for Adelphi in a 2-0 week, playing all 180 minutes for the first time since returning from injury last Saturday. He made five saves in a 4-1 win at Bentley and kept #12 SNHU off the board in a 1-0 win at home on Saturday.
Kevin Diaz, American International (Sr, F – Brentwood): Diaz was an offensive spark for the Yellow Jackets in a 1-1 week, notching three points. On Tuesday, he scored a late game-tying goal in an eventual loss to New Haven; in a 6-1 victory over Saint Anselm, he played a part in JP Rylah’s hat trick, notching an assist on the eventual game-winning goal.
Noah Varonier, Southern Connecticut (Sr, GK – Miller Place): Varonier had six saves in two NE10 victories this week to helped the Owls remain undefeated in conference play.
