Five LI High Schools Teams Ranked By United Soccer Coaches

Five Long Island high school soccer teams are ranked in this week’s Top-25 polls from United Soccer Coaches.

On the boys side, Amityville (11-0-0) holds its spot from the previous week’s poll at No. 13 while Brentwood (10-0-0) moves up one spot to No. 17.

This past week, Amityville defeated Mt. Sinai 5-2 and Miller Place 4-1. In its only match of the week, Brentwood defeated Sachem East 2-0.

The girls poll this week includes Syosset (7-0-0) moving up one spot from last week’s poll to No. 11, Smithtown West (8-0-1) jumping seven spots to No. 17 and St. Anthony’s (8-0-1) entering the poll at No. 22.

Syosset had wins over Farmingdale 6-3 and Baldwin 3-1. Smithtown West also had two wins this past week defeating Sachem East 4-1 and Northport 5-0. St. Anthony’s stayed unbeaten with wins over St. Francis Prep 6-1 and St. John The Baptist 3-1.
