Farmingdale State Extend Skyline Win Streak To Three

Farmingdale State extended its conference winning streak to three games with a 6-1 win over Purchase College.

After an own goal put Farmingdale State (6-4-2 overall, 3-0 in Skyline) up 1-0 just 2:18 into the game, a shot from the top of the box by junior midfielder Alyssa Parrotta (Centereach) in the 26th minute put the Rams ahead 2-0.

Seven minutes later, freshman midfielder Brittney Starzee (Babylon) scored off a feed from freshman forward Cristina Ferrara (Massapequa) to give the Rams a 3-0 lead. Rae-Anne Guglielmo (West Babylon) would close out the first half with a goal in the 42nd minute to give Farmingdale State a 4-0 halftime lead.

Following a Purchase goal and another Purchase own goal, Rams sophomore midfielder Edasia Martinez (Brentwood) would score off a cross from freshman forward Miranda Ozimek (Centerport) to give FSC a five-goal lead, 6-1.

Farmingdale State outshot Purchase 38-4 with Farmingdale State’s Laura Leverich (Smithtown) credited with two saves.
