Entering her second season with the team after being acquired in a June 11, 2019, trade with North Carolina Courage, Eddy played 1,200 minutes for Sky Blue FC last season. She scored the club’s first-ever goal at Red Bull Arena during an August 18 match against Reign FC.
“I’m so stoked to re-sign with Sky Blue FC,” said Eddy. “There is no place I’d rather be this 2020 season and I hope for years to come. Super thankful to the staff for believing in me and giving me this awesome opportunity with great people, a great place, and great fans.”
In five previous seasons in the NWSL, Eddy has played in 62 games, scored five goals and notched five assists. She was a member of the 2016 Western New York Flash and 2018 North Carolina Courage championship teams.
“Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience and energy to the team and we are really excited to have signed her for the 2020 season,” said Freya Coombe, Sky Blue’s head coach. “She brings speed and creativity to our front line and I look forward to continuing to work with her this season.”
