The soccer clubs from East Meadow and Farmingdale have formed a strategic partnership with Farmingdale becoming an affiliate member of East Meadow.
In addition, Farmingdale will also host girls Elite Clubs Regional League (ECRL) teams for the 2019/2020 season.
According to officials with the two Nassau County-based clubs, the combined resources and coaching staffs from both organizations will continue to provide a proven player-first development pathway for girls soccer on Long Island.
East Meadow and Farmingdale will provide a structure and training model that will allow all female players an opportunity to develop under the highest standards in youth soccer, officials said. Players from both clubs will have the opportunity to compete at the highest levels of girls soccer regionally and nationally through the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) and ECRL.
“[East Meadow Soccer Club] has worked very hard to develop a reputation of sustained professionalism and quality throughout our organization,” said Ruairi McGuinness, East Meadow’s director of Coaching. “We are excited to work with Farmingdale to maximize our opportunities for the continued progression of both programs.”
Jaime Gonzalez, Farmingdale’s director of Coaching, added, “We look forward to this great opportunity for all of our players to continue to grow and take the next step in their overall competitive development. Farmingdale SC has always worked very hard to provide the right avenues for all our players and this is a fantastic opportunity to continue that model.”
