Dunn, Long Heading To USWNT Camp

Long Island’s Crystal Dunn and Allie Long along with two members of Sky Blue FC are among 24 players on head coach Jill Ellis’ preliminary U.S. Women’s National Team roster for two June friendlies.

The two Sky Blue players are Carli Lloyd and Savannah McCaskill along with Sky Blue draft pick Casey Murphy, who currently plays in France with Montpellier HSC.

The defending World Cup champions will meet the Chinese on Thursday, June 7, at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah, (9 p.m. ET; FS1 & UDN) and on Tuesday, June 12, at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland (7 p.m. ET; ESPN2). Ellis will name 18 players to suit up for each of the matches.

The two matches against China PR will be the final matches before Ellis chooses her 23-player roster for the Tournament of Nations that will take place from July 26-August 2. The four-team tournament will feature the U.S., Australia, Brazil and Japan.
