The New York Cosmos B cracked open a six-pack on Sunday in its 6-1 defeat of Greater Lowell NPSL FC.
During the NPSL contest at Rocco B. Commisso Stadium, Cosmos B opened the scoring early as Bledi Bardic found the back of the net in the 9th minute. In the 30th minute, the lead grew to 2-0 when Chris Wingert got a touch on a John Neeskens corner. Eleven minutes later, Giuseppe Barone found Wojceich Wojcik who finished from close range to extend the lead to three.
Greater Lowell would get on the board two minutes into the second half when Jamar Campion-Hinds scored off a rebound.
New York’s three-goal lead was restored when Barone once again played provider for Wojcik’s, whose second goal of the game came in the 53rd minute. Eight minutes later, Bardic chipped the goalkeeper for his second of the game.
Cosmos B rounded up the scoring in the 87th minute when second-half substitute Reece Dalton placed the ball in the top corner after his initial effort was saved.
With the win, New York improved its record to 3-0 to sit atop the North Atlantic Conference Division of the NPSL’s Northeast Region Conference.
