Commack native Sam Miller is among the Top-100 freshman collegiate women soccer players in the nation, according to Top Drawer Soccer.
Ranked at No. 72, Lehigh’s freshman goalkeeper and Commack High School graduate has enjoyed a strong first year with the Mountain Hawks. Starting in all 14 of the team’s matches to date, Miller has a record of 8-4-2 with 55 saves and a goals against average of 0.62.
In September, she was named as the Division I Player of the Week by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for the week of September 5 through September 11. That week, Miller helped Lehigh to two clean sheet victories, 2-0 wins over Binghamton and Villanova.
Before beginning her college career at Lehigh, Miller was a four-year member and two-time captain of Commack’s girls varsity soccer team. She was named All-County twice and All-State once.
