Commack Boys Ranked No. 5 In United Soccer Coaches Poll

The boys soccer team at Commack High School is the only Long Island team to be nationally ranked in the USA Today/United Soccer Coaches poll for Week 3.

As in the previous week’s poll, the Cougars are ranked No. 5 and are 5-0 on the season. During the past week, Commack defeated Patchogue-Medford 5-0 and Longwood 3-0. In the week ahead, they face Sachem North and Ward Melville.

Several Long Island boys teams are ranked in the Top-15 in Region II. They include Commack (No. 1), Amityville (No. 5), Brentwood (No. 7), Chaminade (No. 8), Hauppauge (No. 10) and Center Moriches (No. 13.)

On the girls side, no teams cracked the Top-25 this week but several were ranked in Region II’s Top-15. They include Islip (No. 6), East Meadow (No. 7), Half Hollow Hills (No. 14) and West Islip (No. 15).
