Crystal Palace has signed the French international from Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain for $15 million, a record transfer fee for the club. Cabaye has signed a three-year deal and will again play for Alan Pardew, Palace’s current manager who was with the midfielder at Newcastle United from 2011 to 2014.

“I’m happy to be here. I’ve been waiting for the decision, had the medical and now I can’t wait to focus on my new team, a new season and my new life,” Cabaye told cpfc.co.uk. “I wanted to come and play for Palace because there are some really strong players here. They finished very well last season and I think they can compete to get into the top eight.”

Cabaye scored 18 times in 93 appearances under Pardew’s management before joining PSG in January 2014.
