With the win, the Pride improves to 8-3-0 on the season and 2-0-0 in conference play.
The offensive star on the day was junior midfielder Sabrina Bryan who scored twice and led the Pride with eight shots, six of which were on goal.
Hofstra also got goals from Lucy Porter, her 10th on the season; Miri Taylor, her 4th on the season; and Brianna Passaro of Commack, who scored the first goal of collegiate career.
The Pride got things started early against Elon. Bryan would score her first of the game and third of the season in the seventh minute with Taylor earning the assist.
Only 29 seconds later, the Phoenix were whistled for a foul inside the penalty area. Porter would step up to the spot and score her third penalty kick goal of the season to give Hofstra an early 2-0 lead.
In the 13th minute, Taylor would join the goal parade as she took a cross from Lucy Shepherd and headed the pass just inside the far post for a 3-0 lead.
In the 44th minute, Passaro would get her first of the season with Anja Suttner earning the assist. Bryan would close out the scoring and earn her brace and get her fourth goal of the season in the 56th minute with Jordan Littleboy being credited with the assist.
Hofstra outshot Elon 31-4, including a 12-1 margin in shots on goal.
The Pride’s goaltending duo of Skylar Kuzmich, who played 71 minutes, and Grace Watson-Carr, who played 19 minutes and made Hofstra’s only save in the match, combined to earn the clean sheet.
