A member of the league since its inaugural season in 2013, she joined Seattle in a trade with Orlando Pride prior to the start of the 2018 season. Her debut in the home opener against the Washington Spirit this past season marked her 100th NWSL game.
“I couldn’t be more excited to return to Seattle and play with my teammates,” said Spencer. “I learned and improved so much last year and I’m looking forward to building on that success next season.”
During the time in the league, she has played for the Washington Spirit (2013), Western New York Flash (2014, 2015) and two seasons with Orlando (2016, 2017). She joined the Pride after being selected in the NWSL Expansion Draft.
During the 2018 season, Spencer appeared in 23 of Seattle’s 25 matches. She had two goals including the Reign’s lone goal in the NWSL semifinal vs. Portland Thorns.
“Jasmyne came in and had an immediate impact on our club last year,” said Vlatko Andonovski, Reign FC head coach. “Her speed is a valuable weapon for us and her energy and toughness on the pitch make her a great player to coach.”
Spencer is currently on loan to Melbourne City FC in the Australian W-League, where she has scored four goals over the first six matches.
