After a four goal performance this past week, Adelphi University’s Morgan Santoro (Islip) was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, the third time this season she has received the honor.
Santoro also placed her name into program history with 48 single season points on 21 goals. She has found the back of the net in 13 of Adelphi’s first 15 matches, including goals in 10 consecutive contests.
Her point total as of October 24 ties the school’s single-season mark set by Shannon Sepe in 1992, Kimberly Campbell in 2000, Bernadette Kennedy in 1997 and Josephine Coiro in 2004. She is also two goals shy of Campbell’s single-season record of 23 goals.
