World Cup Qualifier Golazos: Ronaldo, Witsel, Lemar

World Cup, Lemar
France's Thomas Lemar.

It was a busy day of World Cup qualifying around the world and a few of the globe’s biggest football stars scored some stunning goals.

At the Estadio do Bessa XXI in Porto, Portugal topped the Faroe Island 5-1 as Cristiano Ronaldo led the current European Champions with a hat-trick. The Real Madrid’s star’s three goals included, to no one’s surprise, an eye opener, which is below.

At the Stade de Sclessin in Liége, Belgium, the Belgians put a world of hurt on Gibraltar in a 9-0 win. While Thomas Meunier and Romelu Lukaku each had hat-tricks, it was the goal by Axel Witsel that was most eye catching.

At Stade de France in Paris, France dominated play against the Netherlands with a 4-0 win over the Dutch. Thomas Lemar scored twice including a wonderful volley that gave the home side a 2-0 lead in the second half.
