Stony Brook’s women’s soccer team has set its 19-game schedule as the Seawolves defend their America East Tournament championship and look for a return trip to the NCAA Tournament.

The season begins out west with matchups against Oregon and Oregon State before a stop off in South Bend, Ind., to face the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Stony Brook will have three additional road games against Seton Hall, Boston College and St. John’s before opening the home portion of the schedule against NJIT.

“When putting together the non-conference schedule, the goal was to challenge ourselves while providing our student-athletes new experiences,” said Faherty. “We believe by raising the bar in the non-conference portion of the season, the more we will find out about our team, which will better prepare us for the America East conference games.”

Stony Brook will renew its Long Island rivalry as it travels west to Nassau County to face Hofstra on September 16. Its first America East matchup comes September 23 at home vs. Maine.

The America East post-season tournament is scheduled to begin October 25, with the semi-finals set for October 28 and final on November 3.
