Two Long Island high school soccer teams are nationally ranked in recent polls from United Soccer Coaches.
In the polls dated September 26, Commack sits at No. 21 in the boys poll while Northport skyrocketed 11 spots in the girls poll and now sits at No. 11.
During the week of the poll, the Commack High School’s boys soccer team stayed undefeated with a 3-0 win over Sachem East. Through matches as of September 28, Commack is 9-0-1 having conceded seven goals with seven clean sheets.
The Northport High School girls soccer team (9-0-0) also kept its undefeated streak alive with a 7-0 win over Lindenhurst and a 3-0 win over Walt Whitman. Through nine games Northport has allowed only three goals and has six clean sheets.
