Three Long Island high school girls soccer players will kick off their collegiate careers this fall at colleges in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

Selena Fortich of Glen Head will suit up for the University of Miami, Marisa Fischetti of Massapequa will play for Syracuse and Aanchal Jain of Smithtown is heading to North Carolina to join the Demon Deacons of Wake Forest.

A graduate of North Shore High School, Fortich is a defender/midfielder and was a three-time All-County selection during her high school playing days and garnered First-Team All-State recognition following her senior year. She was also named Newsday Long Island Player of the Year after her senior year when she led North Shore to its first Long Island championship.

Fischetti, a native of Massapequa, is heading to upstate New York to play at Syracuse University. She played on Massapequa High School’s varsity team for three seasons before skipping her senior year to play for her club team FC Fury. During her high school playing days Fischetti, a forward, scored 22 goals and had 9 assists and was named to the All-Long Island Second-Team in 2016.

Jain, of Smithtown, is heading to Wake Forest after her high school playing days at Smithtown West High School. The midfielder was a three-year starter and earned All-League, All-Conference and All-County awards following her junior year. She played her club ball for FC Fury, a U.S. Soccer Development Academy Team during the 2017-18 season and went to the ECNL playoffs with Albertson Fury in 2015-16 and 2016-17.
